Furniture Facelift Friday: My Roadkill Legacy
I come from a long line of DIYers, garage salers, and scavengers. And that is one reason I love this dresser so much. According to my grandma, her father found this dumped in the canal while working as the water master. He knew that they needed it, so he brought it home for his granddaughters to use in their room. Years later one of my aunts repainted it this lovely blue. It now sits beside my bed and I smile when I think of my little great grandpa wrestling this out of a canal.
Five generations later we haven’t changed a bit. My little girl is the best wing man ever. When I am driving she always has her eyes open for some find on side of the road. And she doesn’t think twice when I dump an old wood chair in the back of my car.
