Furniture Facelift Friday: Wall Shelf

Once again I have forgotten to take the before photo. Sigh. Just believe me when I say that the shelf was hideous before I painted it.

This shelf is on the wall in my kitchen and you would not believe the things I have stashed in those drawers over the years. One drawer is entirely full of rocks and little plastic BB’s from those airsoft guns kids shoot around our neighborhood. My kids collect them, insist that they are treasures worth keeping, and I stash them in there to keep them happy. When they were younger I used to throw the BB’s all over the yard and let the kids pick them up again. They thought it was great. Yeah, it doesn’t take much to make us happy.

My favorite are the dish towels hanging from the bar. They used to be my grandma’s!
