Harry Potter Party Food: Polyjuice Potion Bean Dip
I kept the food real simple for this Harry Potter Party because let’s be honest, boys don’t hold still long enough at parties to actually eat! But I didn’t want to skip out on the Harry Potter party food all together.
So one of my favorite things I did was make a really simple Polyjuice Potion bean dip. It looked delightfully disgusting! Luckily the recipe for the fake potion is MUCH easier than the real potion and you don’t have to break into Snape’s office to get the ingredients.
Unfortunately a few weeks after the party, my son decided to make his own Polyjuice Potion and figured he needed some hair to do it. His sister was only too happy to help and the two of them managed to hack off some of her hair! He is lucky I have a sense of humor. And I guess every family has to have at least one hair cutting incident. Sigh.
Polyjuice Potion Bean Dip Recipe
- 1 can refried beans (16 oz)
- 1 lb Velveeta Cheese
- 2 cups salsa
Add all the ingredients to a microwaveable bowl. Cover the bowl, unless you want Polyjuice Potion exploding all over your microwave, and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from microwave, stir, and cook again until the cheese is all melted. Stir the dip until it is mixed thoroughly. Serve with tortilla chips or the hair of the person you want to change into!
Coming up next will be my recipe for Butterbeer Italian Soda!
This is great! Do you have the sign printable that you would be willing to share?
You bet! I just posted it up in the blog post. Thanks!
