See’s Chocolate Soccer Coach Appreciation Gift Idea
A couple of years ago, I did something similar to this for my son’s teacher and thought it would make a great soccer coach appreciation gift.
I love See’s chocolates and I love being able to pick out my own box. I am a sucker for the dark chocolate truffles and butterscotch squares. I heard from a friend that if you work there you can eat all the chocolate you want. I don’t know if that is true, but it would be a very, very bad place for me to work.
At the end of the season, I wanted to give my son’s coach something special for being so patient with my son. It was my son’s first year playing soccer and he was ALL over the place. The coach really deserved a gold medal, but I thought that See’s would do. So I tweaked the teacher appreciation gift card a little and grabbed a gift certificate. If you are at Costco, you can pick the gift certificates up there at a great price.
His coach really was amazing. He knew how to keep the kids on track while still making the game fun. He was a saint – I don’t think I ever saw him lose his cool. And if you had seen my son play soccer, that was a monumental feat. I am so grateful for other parents who take the time to bless the lives of my children. I had heard a lot of horror stories about soccer parents and coaches, but we got really lucky. The league here is wonderful and everybody is willing to let the kids be kids.
